Johnson Hall was built in 1762 as a Baronial Mansion of Sir William Johnson, and became a meeting place of the six Iroquois Nations, as Johnson served as the Superintendent of indian Affairs for the British Crown. Although I did not mark this as a puzzle box, I have made my clues more difficult, so that you may see more of the beautiful manicured location. Hopefully, it won't be too vague.

Getting there:
Take I-90 exit 28, Rte. 30-A Fonda/Fultonville. Head North toward Johnstown/Gloversville. Speed limit is 55, but watch for the BROWN State Park Signs. Take a LEFT on to S. Perry Street, and you will be in downtown. If the Information Booth is open, stop in for a HISTORIC MAP. Once in Johnstown, left on E. Main St., right on N. William, right on Hall Ave.

Park in the main parking area. There is a recently revived walking path that is made of gray gravel winding its way around the State Historic Site. Head WEST across the lawn. Look for EDWARD CARLE SHOTWELL carved in stone. When you find him, you know you are on the right path. At about 10 o'clock from Mr. Shotwell, look for Mrs. Charles Knox's "lookout". From there, head in the direction of 8 o'clock, down the gray gravel path. There is a faint path of dirt off to the right, take that for approximately 25 large steps. at 9 o'clock, there is a tree 5 steps to the LEFT. At its base, you will find what you are looking for.
