This box was placed to celebrate the annual team effort of three Houghton High School graduates, class of 1988, in the Copperman triathlon which takes place the first weekend of August each year in Copper Harbor.
To find this box, locate the restrooms at Hunter's Point Park, just outside of Copper Harbor. Find the path at the right front corner of the restrooms, and walk approximately 17 steps along this path. On the right you will see a pine tree with a pile of fallen branches at the base. The box is under the branches. Please cover well, this area sees a lot of tourists!!
