This is probably my last letterbox that I am planting in Alaska, hence the title. Go all the way out to Eklutna Lake (its a long road up) and park in the parking lot. There is a five dollar fee. Grab a bike or walk it (much easier on a bike). Go all the way out to the waterfall just past mile 5. From here continue on take the first right for bikes and follow this until it meets back up with the main trail. Stop at the next trail split for ATV's and bikes. From the sign walk 34 steps down the bike trail until you reach a large (not huge) flat rock on your left. Behind the rock is a SPOR with leaf litter. Farewell Alaska is under these rocks. This is a multi layer stamp, so bring makers in the colors orange, yellow and black. Please make sure when you replace that it can not be seen it is very close to the trail. Also this box is up for adoption as I will be moving out of state. Also while you are out here go find the Alkasa native series. It is no longer a mystery just a puzzle. You'll kick yourself if you take this long hike only to discover there are 4 more boxes out here :-) This is a 15 mile round trip hike/bike.
