Joyous Grand Lake Stream Festival
Planted by Autumnrose Carved by Butterfly Suzy
Grand Lake Stream is a beautiful small town to visit anytime. There is a festival held there on the last Saturday and Sunday of July. Lots of craft vendors, food, and lively music. Not festival time? Enjoy the "Pine Tree Store" Take-out food; Groceries; Fishing needs; Clothing; and of course, a liars bench and hot coffee !
While visiting Grand Lake Stream, take a stroll and find the combination basketball and tennis courts.
Enter the tennis court from the street side; walk across and exit through the other gate on the backside that is located to your right. As you pass through this gate; turn to your left and follow the fencing alongside the back of the court. About one-third of the way, look for the big old Oak Tree that has a "Skunk-Spruce" tree nestled up by the Oaks' right side. Go a few steps more, paying attention to the woods on your right. Look for a cut-off log/stump lying upright against a boulder. Look between the bottom of the stump and the boulder, and you will find the "Joyous Grand Lake Festival" box. Return to the store and "toast" your latest find with the beverage of your choice ! I still recommend the coffee D:
