Friends and I accidently ran out of gas while driving on the highway. Waiting for a truck to bring us gas, we decided to make a letterbox, since we had been heading to the Dalles to follow some clues. Hope you enjoy finding our box!
Travel down the highway numbered with the second half of the title of Orwell's most famous book. Go to the exit that is also the year when Claudius I and Valeria Messalina welcomed their daughter into the world. Go under the highway towards the place of baby fish, and park in the lot before the "Goodtown" Lock and Dam. Go up to the sign which has the name of the Dam, and the Army Corps of Engineers logo in the bottom left corner. Turn yourself around until you see the speed limit sign, scan your eyes to your right. Crawl under the arms of the blue-tipped pine tree you spot nearby, and look under the three rocks at its base. Forgive the poor quality of our impromptu carving on erasers, and leave your stamp!
