This box is a quick walk down the Bemis Woods bike path, which is located in the Lagrange/Western Springs/Hinsdale area of Illinois. The bike path is 7 miles long and makes for a nice shaded ride on a sunny day. After you find this box, you may want to hop on your bike and check out the rest of the path. Bemis Woods is also a nice place to bring your dog for some exercise. This box is the first plant for my niece, Katie-Did.

To get to the correct entrance, follow Ogden Road West just past Wolf Road. The entrance to Bemis Woods Groves #5-8 is on your right. Go in the drive and go to the parking lot that is straight ahead (do not go to the one immediately on the right after the entrance). You will see the bike path sign on your right.

Clues:
This whole walk takes about 10 minutes round trip.

Follow the bike path which will curve to the left. You will see an old fence on the left side of the path. The last post has a red blaze. Keep going down the path. It will bend left and then a sharper left again. After that turn, you will see a pile of twisted fallen trees on the left side of the trail. Behind that is a large stump on its side. Just behind the stump, you will see two smaller stumps. What the squirrel seeks is hidden under some sticks and bark between these two stumps.

Please make sure to re-hide out of sight and replace the stick and bark covering.
