Your adventure begins across from Bullock Creek Middle School’s entrance at the Chippewa Nature Center’s Wetlands Trail entrance. This is a 1.7 mile walk near water and through wooded areas. Bug spray is recommended.

Logan likes this trail because of how easy it is to walk, important for his short legs. He also likes all of the animals that can be found here. Take the paved trail to the left.

A short way ahead, on Heron Marsh, you will see a u-shaped dock. Logan likes this dock because of the many frogs and turtles he can see here.

Next, you’ll see Dragonfly Marsh. The family’s too afraid to stray from the trail in fear of encountering poison ivy hidden by the tall weeds!

On the east end of the marsh there is a paved hiking/biking trail, save this route for another day and continue on the grassy path. If you’re walking toward a tall, steel power line tower you are going the right direction.

When you come to a T in the path, don’t give up keep walking! Follow the path in the direction of the post with the dot.

As you come out of the woods this time you’ll find some seasonal berries. (When in season Logan enjoys this tasty treat!)

When we get to the stand of white birch trees and the bench dedicated to Jim Woodgate, Logan knows that we’re almost there. Continue walking along the path, traveling 35 adult paces and look left. There you will see a dead stump where a tree has blown over. Behind it you will find Logan's treasure! Please carefully replace for the next hunter.
