May 2004;

Unfortunatly, either nature or man-kind has destroyed the box. Someone was kind enough to email me and let me know that the contents of my box were scattered about, my hand carved stamp was shredded, and my log book was missing. I don't think I will placing another one in the same location, but thanks for all the great stamped entries that I was able to see before the log book dissapeared.

Blessings to you.

You can find the box on the E-way hiking trails, some walking and slight hiking involved.

Driving:
From West side of Madison: Take the beltline (HWY 12 and 14), to the Southtown exit, turn right off the exit. There is a four way stop on the way to the trails, if you did not find that stop, turn around. Follow Mooreland road (the road you are on when you turned off the exit) until you see a sign for Goodland Park, this should be your next left turn. Take that left turn and about a half mile down the road is a gravel parking lot. Turn in there and park.

From the Anywhere other than Madison: Take I-90; or US 12 to Madison. Take the 12 & 14 HWY exit. (Don't take the Madison 30 exit, that will put you on the opposite side of town that you need to be on.)
Merge onto 12 and 14 and take the SouthTown Dr exit and take a left off it.

Clues:

Note: I am 5'1" so the steps or paces may be slightly off if you are taller or shorter than I am. :)

Directly in front of you is the gateway and decorative entrance to the E-Way Trails. Go straight about 55 regular paces or steps. When you hit the bend, go right, up the hill. If you hit a bridge with-in a few yards, you went the wrong way.
It is approximately 490 steps to the bush/thicket that the box is hidden in from the start of the trailway before entrance sign.
About 440 paces in there is a small trial leading to a stream. You are on the right track!
The very next and first large bush/thicket on the left is the place you need to be. There is a rabbit trail leading into the thicket just as you happen upon it. Follow into the bush about 16 paces. The box is in three plastic zip baggies(I do not have a container large enough for it, nor the money to get one).
It is behind the fallen log that should be right in front of you, and hidden under some rotting stump that we moved, and the rest of the stump we moved right in front of it so it would be found easily enough.

If you go as far was the bridge, you went too far, you should turn around and walk back about a half a mile or so to the first large bush/thicket on your right.

Note:
When you find it please take a postcard and stamp your image on it and send it to me and notify me if anything is amiss...low on postcards, water leakage into baggies, too hard to find need better direction...whichever.
I will be checking up on it about once a month to make sure that you can still get to it as the winter/summer months approach.

Please put the contents back in as you took them out, one baggie at a time.

I will look forward to getting postcards from my stash!

Many Blessings!

PS.
As of May/2004 box was found distroyed and contents scattered with no log book to be found.

Box planted by Rexie. Shalar adopted in 2011 only to move it to archives, as original planter verified it was lost back in 2004.
