The LEGEND of SCARGO:

THE LEGEND OF SCARGO HAS GONE MISSING(01-04-05)- (My 3rd box to go missing)If anybody has any information, let me know, otherwise, I will reset the box in the near future)

Set on a steep hill, this 28-foot stone tower looks over the ocean to the north, Boston to the west and Provincetown to the east.

Side Note:
Scargo Hill can be very popular for tourism and attracts a lot of people around Mid-day and later in the evening when the sun sets. When hunting for this box it is recomended that you go there in the morning around 10 or so or even in the off season months.

ALSO: I have begun your journey starting from the bottom of the hill at the main road becasue the gates to the tower can sometimes be locked during varying hours. So you can park down there if you wish.

Directions coming from Yarmouth...
Take 6A into Dennis until you come to the intersection of Old Bass River road and 6A.(you will see a gas station ahead of you and the Dennis Green and the gazebo and the Congragational church located on your right.) Turn right up Old Bass River and continue for about 300 ft.to Scargo Hill Road which branches off on the left. One half mile up the road on the left you come to a small sign reading "SCARGO TOWER" (the tower is directly across from Dr, Stanton Rd.)

Directions coming from Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, etc...
Take 6A coming over into Dennis until you come to the intersection of Rt 134 with 6A.(Dennis Players Shopping Plaza will be on your right)continue on through the set of lights crossing 134 and within 2/10's mile you will see Scargo Hill Road branch off to the left(Grumpy's restaurant is on your right).Up Scargo Hill rd. a mile or less, you will come to a small sign reading "SCARGO TOWER" on your right.( Dr. Stanton rd. and a large white sign reading "SCARGO KNOLLS" will be directly on your left.)

Again my directions to the box start you off from the bottom of the hill due to the gate open hours. You are able to park at the bottom of the hill. And definitely check out the sunset one night on the top of the tower!

...To the Scargo Tower Letterbox...

The legend of Scargo,
Few people know.
But one not forget-
Princess Scargo

One fifty from the bottom,
Will bring you to the hilltop
You meet Charles and Francis,
And for a breath you should stop.

Note years of death:
Our loyal sons of this town,
Have no connection with the princess;
Now travel opposite of down.

Count as you rise
Cold steps go up high.
The number of windows
Must catch your eye.

When the top you reach,
You can enjoy the view.
But turn 270 degrees from North
You be obliged to do.

As you head down
Note the view on step 9.
A glance out the window.
This is your sign.

Keep moving down the steps
Thinking as you go
The difference between steps and death years
Then add the windows

To the edge you see the spot
As you stand on the pavement
Travel 19 down
Now read your next hint

Now don’t turn right
But turn to your left
And the math you did before,
You must recollect.

Travel that many steps
Till the Siamese twins you spy
Princess Scargo stood here once
Time lost in the blink of an eye.

Also, I tested this out before and the box isnt that hard to find. But there are a lot of stairs required to due the search properly. But other than that, I would say it is easy and fun. For question info, contact me at WiLLHop25@comcast.net

...HAPPY HUNTING!...
