The newly restored Pontiac Trail, named for a war leader of the Odawa tribe, provides a panoramic view of the Straits of Mackinac from 130 feet above lake level.
Enter Pontiac's Trail from the entrance off of West Bluff Road. Follow the trail path, passing a set of unused concrete steps, until you come to five 12 foot wooden boards that create a retaining wall on your right. While standing at the fence and facing the wall, look to the left of the wall. Box hidden behind the wall and under rocks. Please rehide well.
