Way back in the olden days when I was a kid, we used to travel the back roads (the only ones there were) to get to the beach. We often stopped at Seven Falls picnic area either going or coming. The picnic area is still there tho’ a bit run down and it now has a letterbox. The area is on Rt. 154 in Haddam, just before the Middletown line.
Park in the parking lot next to Me and McGee (now apparently Mamma Laroux). There is parking along the road with stairs into the park but the clues are from the parking lot.
Walk straight in to the 4 siblings (that’s how many I had). Go left to the tree by the wall. Go left again 3 steps. Look in the wall about ½ way up. The box is in a recess behind a whitish rock. Cover carefully, and with the whitish rock, when you’re done. Now go and enjoy the falls.
