Lakeside Park
This letterbox was placed on our anniversary. We were married in the rose gardens on the hill. Be sure to visit the arbor when the roses are in bloom -- they are breathtaking!
To Begin:
Start at the large cottonwood tree north of the fountain along the paved path. Walk past the sundial. Take time to smell the roses if they are in bloom -- but watch out for the thorns. Down the steps -- walk past the reflecting ponds. Continue along the paved path back towards and around the pond. On the opposite side of the cottonwood, from the SE corner of the lake, walk about 20 paces. On your left is a stone pathway leading to a secluded bench surrounded by evergreen bushes. Have a seat -- rest your weary feet. Sitting on the bench, slide as far to the left as you can (but don't fall off!) and when you are sure no one is watching, look underneath the evergreen branches behind you. July's rose is beneath the branches. (Be sure to replace when no one is watching -- this is a high traffic area.)

This one is MISSING!!! Will replace soon. (5.23.11)
