This box is along the old Farmington Canal Aqueduct site. You will see the historical site sign on the right while traveling along Rt. 10 from Avon. Pull in to the small parking area.

Head along the trail and down hill till you see the bridge. Cross over both and keep going along the river. If you go any time soon you will pass a reclamation area on your left. The trail will eventually curve away from the river. Keep following it that way. You will pass a big broken boulder on your left and, a bit further on, a big boulder on the right. Unfortunately, neither offered shelter for a box without sending you into the brush and, probably, poison ivy. The trail heads up toward the road. Keep to the right and go down the road. Watch for mud if there has been a recent rain. You will come to a bridge. Look along the left side. Replant carefully.

This box is HH friendly as long as it’s not tooo big. There is at least one other box in this area so check for it.

Know where you are now?? You should be able to easily find your way back to your car.
