Take 137 south out of Interlochen. When you reach the baseball fields and playground, park and walk south until you come upon a dirt ROAD (not path!) parallel to 137 (now Karlin Rd.). Head along the dirt raod until you see a path veering to the right. Take this path until you come to a fork in the trail. Fork left and continue on, until the path stops in front of an airstrip. The airstrip is marked by yellow cones. From the closest cone on your left, walk directly across the airfield to the opposite cone. (Watch for landing planes, there aren't many but better safe than flattened!) Once there, you will see a semi-large broken oak tree right in front of you. Look just to the left and walk to a larger broken oak tree about 45 paces away. Climb over one half of the broken tree trunk and become face to face with a medium sized white pine.At the trees base is the letter box you seek!
