UPDATE: This box has been removed. Received this email: "Today on a USFS wilderness patrol ... my partners and I discovered a small box with several items inside, including a letter with your email on it. First, thank you for taking the time to introduce people to our beautiful wilderness - it is a truly amazing place for everyone to enjoy.

As USFS wilderness rangers, our primary objective is keeping the wilderness wild. The Wilderness Act of 1964 defines wilderness as "an area untrammeled by man, where man himself is a visitor who does not remain... protected and managed so as to preserve its natural conditions and which generally appears to have been affected primarily by the forces of nature, with the imprint of man's work substantially unnoticeable... ." In order to maintain the character of this wilderness and protect the wildlife in the area, we removed your letterbox and request that in the future you leave nothing behind when visiting a wilderness area. This will help others enjoy their experience in solitude, observe the forest in its natural state, and keep sensitive wildlife from being exposed to harmful litter or chemicals.

Many of our visitors publish virtual caches by posting GPS/map coordinates of a special place, and inviting visitors to share their experiences online. Please consider this option instead of a physical cache.

Thank you, and I hope you continue to enjoy and protect your national forest.

So yeah. This is still a very cool place to visit.

Terrain Difficulty: Easy to Moderate. About 1.5 miles to the box over some rolling terrain, some uphill walking.
Clue Difficulty: Yes I know, "he who would pun would pick a pocket," but otherwise these clues are reasonably easy.

Clues:
> A taiko so big two holy sisters are needed to play it:_ _-_ _ _-_ _ _ _.

> Across the trail from the home that needs "sprucing" up.

> Amal is Jaun's _ _ _ _. If you've seen Juan, you've seen Amal.

> My donkey corral is made from this mountain tree: _ _ _ _ _.

Notes:
- This box was placed in haste and may be poorly hidden. Help a 'boxer out and add a rock to the pile if it is needed.
- No inkpad or pencil in the box, make sure you bring your own.
- High altitude hiking and off-trail hiking may be involved. Go early and be prepared for sudden weather changes.
- Please do not ask me for additional hints without offering a bribe of unpublished clues, hitchhikers, etc.
- Please email me with notes about the box: jelybean.books@comcast.net.
