These two boxes were originally planted by Teach and Preach. They somehow ended up in the office at Mashamoquet State Park. My daughter, who is working there for the summer, told me they were there and the ranger in charge of the park let me take them. I contacted T & P and asked if I could replant them since they are no longer boxing. The answer was yes, so here they are. If you have been boxing for any length of time, you probably already have them.

Take Wolf Den Road off of Rt. 44 across from Rosie's Drive-In. Go about a mile and take the sharp left turn going into the park. Go for a little while and take your first right. It will say that you are at the Wolf Den Entrance. Park in the circle.

You will now follow the blue trail down the hill. When you get to the rock with the yellow arrows, follow the one to Table Rock. Climb down to the "table". It is a great place to have a picnic. With your back to the table, look left and see a long rock ledge. Follow this ledge until you can see three seperate levels. Leaning against the bottom level you will see a flat rock. Reach way under the rock for your first box.

Now make your way back to the yellow arrows and follow the one to the Wolf Den. Go down the hill until you see another yellow arrow. Directly after this arrow on your right will be the den. Learn its history by reading the plaque. After your history lesson, go to the tree with rhe red and blue blaze on it. Site 250* to a tree with an odd growth about four feet off the ground. Go to the opposite side of the tree and see a cave at 250*. Just to the right of this cave you will see a long flat rock with a little arch in the bottom. Look in the arch for your second box.

Now you can either go back to your car or continue for a great hike. Be sure to have a trail map if you decide to continue. As always, please rehide the boxes better than you found them.

Happy Hunting!

I want to thank Burning Feet for taking over these boxes.
