Enter St. Vincent County Park from the north side of St. Charles Rock Road.
Turn right towards “St. Vincent Greenway” parking. Take this road straight and then down the hill and park in the lot by the boardwalk.
Walk on the path going south, away from the boardwalk.
Stop and read the sign on the right so you’ll understand why you’re here.
Take the long, eerie sidewalk up the hill (west).
Note of caution: There is some poison ivy growing here and there along the sides and the farther up you go, the more overgrown it becomes. Also, I have only ever been here on a weekday morning and am unfamiliar with what kind of folks (if any) might hang out here on evenings/weekends. The trail ends very close to many residences.
When you reach the first circle, begin counting steps (not yours). At the 10th step, look behind the log on the right, under the vines and a chunk of wood.
Please make sure that the occupants are not allowed to leave their padded cell for very long!
