#21 Massachusetts
by Dale End Farm
Grahaber Road
Tolland, CT
(stamp size 2 x 3)
Follow route 30 north from route 74. Turn left on Browns Bridge (which turns into Grahaber Road) and drive 1.2 miles. After pole #3632 you’ll see the blue blazes turning into the woods. Park on the right along a row of pine trees, getting off the road as much as possible.
Bring a blue or black colored ink with you.
Follow the blue trail, crossing a stream and going under power lines. At the lines, zig a bit right and then back into the woods. You’ll see houses up to the left and then a horse farm. After you leave the houses behind, watch for split rock with a tree growing out of it and then in a little bit a pretty big evergreen tree. Look on the left side of this tree under debris for the magnificent Massachusetts letterbox by Dale End Farm.
If you come to a large flat rock on the trail, you went too far.
