Make your way to Strong Porter House on South Street in Coventry CT.
Please bring blue ink with you.
There is a sign at the back of the parking section ( the grassy lawn on the left) . The sign relates all the information about the Strong Porter Homestead . From this information sign look about 11:00 to the stone wall. Find the break in the wall ( there is also a metal state forest marker on the tree near the opening ) Head down the trail . When the trail forks ..go right . Pass through a stone wall . Walk over 3 streams . ( one or two might be dried up at times ) Follow this trail left, pass through a stone wall and continue upward .
At the next fork in the trail, go right . This section is marked with sticks and logs lining the entrance of the trail . You will notice a giant pine on the right and a bit further down the trail a giant beech tree on the left . Pass through another stone wall and shortly thereafter walk along the path as it follows the stone wall for a short distance on your left . As you round a corner going left notice a big rock on the right side of the trail with a few flat rocks scattered behind it . Go to the next stone wall and go right , walk 9 steps on the backside of this wall and look low in the wall for the lovely Louisiana letterbox by Blackberry Patch. Retrace your steps back to your car .
