(stamp size 5 x 2)
I-84 to exit 67. At the end of the ramp turn in the direction of the commuter parking lot onto Mile Hill Road. Shortly, turn right onto Reservoir Road (commuter lot will be on the right). Watch on the left for a sign saying Walker Reservoir Nature Area. Park near the sign.
You will need to bring blue, red, black, green, yellow and brown markers with you to achieve the look in the log book.
Walk south along the road with the pond on your left. Stay behind the guardrails and pick up a trail map from the mailbox. Notice (on the left) a handicapped fishing area). Turn left away from the road. Come to and cross the dam (carefully). Turn left towards the bench. When you get to the bench take 90 steps along the trail to a spot where there are a few scattered rocks on the trail (just before a yellow blaze) and to the right you’ll see a few more rocks and what appears to be a mound leading uphill past a funky tree. Follow the mound towards the tree where you’ll see other rocks (a long time buried stonewall?) And at the end of this "spine" (80 to 85 steps) find a four foot stump. Look at the base to find the delightful Delaware letterbox by geckospot.
As a side note, did you know that Delaware "has the most expensive 12 miles of I-95. The toll is either $4 or $5. We have lots of nice places to letterbox and many are right off the highway and a nice break. The locals aren't always friendly but the local letterboxers make up for that."
Continue on, come to Mile Hill Road, turn left back to your car.
