River Road
Tolland
(stamp size 2 x 2)

From Exit 69 on I-84 in Tolland, go west on Route 74 for a short distance, then turn right onto North River Road. Travel for one-and-a-half miles to a gate at the end with the brown and yellow shield sign designating this as Kollar WMA. Turn left onto Babcock Road, then immediately left into a parking lot.
Please bring black ink with you.
From the parking lot, walk down Babcock Road to the gate. An abandoned section of North River Road extends beyond the gate and passes by old farms that are returning to forest. After half a mile, the old road approaches the river and the remains of Scripture bridge (probably named for a family that lived across the river in Willington). At this point turn left and go uphill. Just after a clear cut section on the left you’ll come to a Y intersection. Go right for 25 steps and look right for a four foot tall cut off telephone pole. Behind this is a very large pine tree at the edge of the gully and behind the pine covered with debris is the amazing Arkansas letterbox by Shiloh.
Arkansas is home to the only diamond mine in the country that allows you to dig and keep what you find!!
