Webster Road
Ellington
(stamp size 4 x 3)

From route 140 in Ellington go north on Webster Road (turns to dirt) for 2.7 miles to a four way intersection. Plenty of parking.
Please bring blue ink with you for this image.
Walk east on Parker Road for about 75 yards and find the Shenipsit Trail crossing. You want to turn right (south) onto the blue trail. You’ll also see some white circles which indicate that we share the trail with a local running club.
Cross over a very wet, muddy area with the help of some falling apart pallets and then climb to some magnificent ledges. Watch carefully for blazes as there are several unmarked trails here. Circle around a vernal pool, go up a slight incline and come to some "stacked" rocks on the right side of the trail. From the tallest (gravestone like) stack site 330 degrees to a small ledge. From there, site 270 degrees to a long flattish rock to the left of some evergreens. Look under the far end for the amazing Alaska letterbox by deniserows.
Retrace your steps or continue forward to Soapstone Road.
