Summer Fun 2!
Do you know where the town of London is located? It is on the bike trail between Lake Mills and Deerfield. Summer Fun 2 is just west of town.
After passing through town going west, you’ll pass a stop sign for a small cross road.
About fifty cycles (rotations of the petals) past that cross road you’ll find a fence on your left.
Nearby there are three boxelder trees, two singles and a double.
Hunt around the trees for a little summer fun.
If you are out in the late spring, note the flowers that look like phlox on tall stalks in colors of pink, purple and white. These aren’t actually phlox, but the four petal Dame’s Rocket, an invasive species. Pull them and dispose of them, if possible, before they can spread!
The bedstraw is plentiful. A plant used by early pioneers in salads and bedding (to keep it smelling fresh). Try sticking it to your shirt!
Enjoy!
