This letterbox is part of the GO York Kids Get Outdoors and Be Creative! program. It will be available from June 6, 2009 – September 7, 2009. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

In addition, the program uses creativity stations – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into the program Sketch Book, available at any York County library.

The letterbox is located at Reservoir Park (Spring Garden Township). GO York Kids level of difficulty = Moderate

1. Start at the parking lot and follow the paved path toward the green dumpster.
2. At the dumpster, look for a bench and continue in that direction.
3. Count the telephone poles on the right side of the path. At the 2nd pole, follow the gravel path on your left.
4. Look for the oldest drinking fountain in York County. (It will be blue.) Turn right on the path.
5. Go to the yellow fire hydrant and look for a second blue fountain.
6. Look at the 4 corners on the cement base of the fountain. One of the corners will point toward a tree in the distance with a red symbol (>) painted on it.
7. Walk downhill to this tree. The creativity station will be nearby.
