This box was planted to celebrate this Mainiac's first years anniversary here in Anchorage.I have been very active in the boxing world back in Maine and New Hampshire for 5 years.. I was very glad to find out that Alaska Home School Mummy, now AK to CO HSM, was trying to get a boxing community going here.. I was pleased to go to her third gathering and meet those that turned out for her. I know that a couple have agreed to take over for her and keep things going.. I pledge my support in this.

S-S-o-o--o- here is the first of the boxes I am planning to put out this summer. There are seven of them here waiting for their stamps to be carved.

Update. AS of April 27,2010 these boxes are alive and doing well.

TRANSPLANTED MAINIAC

On Lake Otis Parkway, find Tikishala Park and Davenport ballfields.

Parking near the green trash bins, walk bewteen brown posts.Continue on past a group of trees towards a TALL, lone white birch.( not here) Continue on around the first ball field..Start around the second field.Approximately, behind second base, you will come to a shallow gully, with a short, low stone wall on the left..( not here either).

Ahead on your right you will see a line of trees. Go to the 3rd big tree with a small bush next to it.
Facing the tree go around the bush,to your left.

!!!PLEASE,don't go between them! You will step on me!!.

Between the tree and the bush you will find this Transplanted Mainiac under the leaves and some sticks.
Please rehide me well .As you see there is a marshy area and a bicycle path behind me.

After doing your thing with the stamps, continue on along the trees, crossing the paved path.

This light pole will be # 1,between the 2nd and 3rd there is a small knoll, center of this knoll there is a group of three trees. One smallish, with two larger behind them..
( when planting ths New England icon,I discovered wild roses) PRICKLY thorns..to left you will see a path??? heading to an opening in the spruce.. go there an back around behind the prickles.back to the
"misplaced RED SOCKS"...

When,I planted thes boxes all three fields were in use an the bicycle path was BUSY so plese be careful.

any problems with thuis please notify Nana C and the Seedlings as she has taken over my boxes.
