Twisted Grove LbNA #47338 (ARCHIVED)

1. Enter the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park in Aptos, CA.
2. Stop at the first Ranger Station and park. (you can avoid paying the $6 fee by parking before this station and walking to it.)
3. Go to the map at the beginning of the trail and find the trail to the Twisted Grove.
4. Follow the directions on the map. Hints... follow the Old Growth Loop, follow the arrows, after you cross the creek turn Right, turn Right at the post that says Twisted Grove.
5. After you've turned Right to go the the grove, you will walk up a hill. Right before you enter the grove at the top of the hill there is a post. Walk on the smaller trail to the right of the post 7 paces. To your right you will see a tree that has been burned, broken, and on which rests a tree that has fallen. Around the right side of the base of this tree you will find the box behind some bark.
