For the Santa Nutria de Santa Rosa Letterbox you’re going to visit Brush Creek Trail which runs through Santa Rosa. You may read more about it here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brush_Creek_(Sonoma_County)

I am told that at this point gloves would be a good idea!

There is a trail either side of this creek which may be accessed any number of places along the way. For this little walk head away from Santa Rosa on Hwy. 12 parking near 100 Brush Creek road, a left turn coming from Santa Rosa proper. Walk into the parking area and go to the NE end where you have the choice of proceeding right or left. Where you see the fish, head that way. Walk, walk, walk noting several pedestrian access points. Where you find 3909 keep going beginning at the opening approximately 43 steps. Now you will note ahead a path down to the creek. Just before that path about where you have stopped following your 43 step exertion and still on the creek side find an old stump maybe 18 inches high. On its north side root around under some brush and sticks for the Santa Nutria de Santa Rosa Letterbox.

For info. on the Northern River Otter which is pictured on the stamp:

Hope you had a nice walk. Please close everything up tightly before rehiding. Thanks for coming!
