THIS BOX IS CURRENTLY INACTIVE. Welcome to the 2nd Walled Lake Outdoor Center Letterbox. This is a trial page, so the actual box will be placed by the end of June. We are using this hunt as a trial for future groups who use our center. Thank you for your patience. Make sure you put on your bug spray first!
CLUES!
To start, find the place where you can have shelter, a bonfire and use the bathroom all in one area. From here, walk 280 degrees West until you find a dwelling that Mongolian Nomads still use today. Go to the back side of the structure and walk down the stairs. Turn and walk towards what man couldn’t move with his own hands, but was definitely not put there by nature. Look for an old farm fence and walk slightly up the hill until you find an opening in the fence. Walk through the opening until you come to a field.
In the field there are several posts with letters on them. Look for the tallest post in the field that does NOT have a letter on it. Walk towards this post. From here, look for our state tree directly behind a cedar tree. Walk around this tree 90 degrees counterclockwise. At this spot, turn and walk 45 degrees NorthEast until you come to a clearing with a large hill in front of you. Turn 305 degree West and follow the trail.
Walk over 2 sets of bridges. Be careful, they can be quite slippery! Once over the 2nd bridge, follow the path to the pond. At the edge of the pond there is a trail. Walk 270 degrees West for about 55 paces. Look for a Small Cherry Tree that is reaching for the thing that all plants crave. The box is on your left hand side right near this tree. Make sure to leave some yummy treats for your friends.
