Crows love to collect and stash small shiny objects. I first became acquainted with this concept as a child reading Sterling North’s Rascal and started thinking about it again after acquiring my trail moniker. This is one of four caches commemorating small, shiny and often useful objects. The other three are in Massachusetts but this one commemorates Curious Crow's place of origin.

This letterbox has a cache stamp which depicts Curious Crow’s stash of a few shiny items. It also contains a box of real objects, so if you are inspired, bring a little something small and shiny to trade. In addition, this is a Hitchhiker Hostel, and plenty big enough to hold a few. PLEASE always keep at least 2 hitchhikers in this box.

Four hitchhikers were included with the placement of the letterbox so first finders don't need hitchhikers to start!

To find, visit Marshall Park near the corner of Plymouth and Dixboro Roads. After parking, count 165 steps up the trail from the start of the trail. (My steps are good strides of a 5'7" person.) You'll travel up hill and to the right. Watch for a fallen tree on the right side, cut in two pieces, with the base of the tree at the far (eastern) end. If you come to a fork in the trail or start to go downhill, you've passed the right tree. Find the cache at the base of the tree.

There is a lot of poison ivy off trail so be careful. At the time this box was placed, there was no poison ivy in the vicinity of the hiding place.
