A. The letterboxes are hidden in Ridgeview Park, located in Waynesboro, Virginia. Directions to Ridgeview Park: From I-64 take exit 94 onto Highway 340; go toward Waynesboro. Go past the shopping center and elementary school. Turn right onto 13th Street. A cemetery will be on your right. Go approximately 3 blocks, turn right onto Magnolia Ave. The park is located at the end of this street.

A beautiful evergreen-lined lane at the south end of Magnolia Avenue welcomes you to this park where benches line the bank of the South River which meanders through the park.. A picnic pavilion, picnic areas, an accessible picnic area, tables and charcoal grills are located here for your enjoyment.

The 50 meter War Memorial Pool II and bathhouse offers the perfect opportunity for all members of your family to cool off from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Young family members will enjoy a large play creative play area. Fishermen should take note that the South River is a good place to fish. Bass, perch, bluegill, catfish and even trout can be found within its waters. Other facilities located within the park include, Little League, Babe Ruth and Farm League baseball fields, an amphitheater, 3 soccer fields, tennis courts, a basketball court and a walking or jogging trail.

B. I taught 2 wonderful groups of 4th and 5th graders this year in a homeschool co-op, called ACE (Augusta County Educators). The class was called "A Dangerous Class for Daring Boys and Girls." Well, we dared to find letterboxes, make our own stamps, and finally, to plant a couple in Ridgeview Park, which mysteriously didn't have any as yet! We hope you have as much find finding the letterboxes as we did planting them!

Directions to Letterbox 1 (Glub Glub): NEEDS TO BE REPLANTED! GOT WASHED AWAY! OTHER BOX SHOULD BE THERE THOUGH! PLAN TO REPLANT BY 5/17/09

1. Find a nice parking spot in the parking lot. There is ample space! Look for the suspension bridge crossing the creek, and go ahead and cross over. Don't look down if you are afraid of heights!

2. Turn right off of the bridge onto the walking path. Perhaps a game of soccer will be going on. Feel free to root for your favorite team!

3. You will soon come to a dirt path forking off to the right. Skip 2 steps, hop 10 times, run 8 steps, and then do 5 frog hops down this path!

4. Continue down this path until you discover a white drainage pipe on right. Proceed approx. 25 steps. You should then see on the bank step-like roots going down to the right.

5. Sit on a tree and quack like a duck 6 times and say hello to the fishies very loudly. This will make the letterbox wake up and be willing to be found.

6. Find the bottom of a tree nearby. Your hidden treasure will be there. (It is a perfect seat.)

7. After finding the letterbox, find a flat stone and see if you can skip it!

Directions to Letterbox 2 (Tweet Tweet):

1. After crossing the suspension bridge from the parking lot...

2. Go left and follow the gravel path.

3. Take a bath when you get home--go the "dirty" way (on the right a dirt path).

4. Proceed down this dirt path, but DON'T go the way of the rocks!

5. Don't go wrong, bear right al all times!

6. You will pass the way of the tree "arch."

7. Continue past the curving drop (past the soccer fields).

8. Tweet tweet! Bird house 261 awaits you! What you are looking for can be found between 2 dead trees!
