New Monroe Town Park.....Take Cedar Cliff Rd to West Mombasha. Park is on left, park in second parking lot. This park can get crowded when there are baseball/soccer games going on. As you get out of the car, take in the scenery. Find the path that would take you to the center and look to the right. You will see the first of many birdhouses that have been put up by the town. Follow them around, count to thirteen. This one will be the one that has a really big rock in front of it. If you look behind the birdhouse, you will see an even bigger rock, would be great for climbing. Some of the park has no trespassing signs, please follow. If you look to the left of this birdhouse, you will see a lake in the distance. Need to get more information about it, will follow up with info asap. Our letterbox will be the tree that has the skinny orange marker tied around the bottom half. It is buried by rocks. This would a very easy box for younger children or if you are new to letterboxing.
