Clues

From Rt.10 in Croydon Flat turn onto Croydon Brook Road. Stay on Croydon Brook Road for .3 miles. Make a right onto Brighton Road and stay on Road for .7 miles. Make a right turn onto Brighton Lane, you see a group of mailboxes.

Stay on Brighton Lane until it comes to T. The road that crosses the T is a class six road and is not maintained. Turn left and park car on the side of the road.

Walk on the road that is on the right side of Brighton Lane. You will see a fence on your left hand side. The fence is part of Corbin Park, that one time had Bisson. If you are lucky you may see some wildboars near the fence.

Austin Corbin established it in 1890 a lot of the original homes of Croydon and one of it's cemeteries is inside the park. President Theodore Roosevelt shot a boar at the park in 1902, and author Rudyard Kipling visited once, among other notables.

Continue down the road and the road will get steeper, you'll see a bridge that crosses a stream. Prior to the stream there is a medium size pine with a smaller pine behind it on your right hand side. Look and you will see an old fallen tree with moss on it with a plank of wood coming out about midway. You treasure is under there. There is no stamp pad, but there is a magic marker to use. Please cover any traces of the the box with leaves.

Thank you and enjoy the babbling stream. This is a easy walk.
Before you set out, please read the waiver of responsibility and disclaimer.
Please be sure to reseal baggies and boxes carefully so that they stay dry and rehide boxes in their original location, completely hidden from view.
