From RT195E take exit #7 (RT114S)
Follow into Barrington
Continue straight through first traffic light (White Church at intersection)
Take next Right (Lincoln Ave.)
Follow to traffic light and take Left (Middle Hwy)
Turn Right into Middle School and park by tennis courts.

Follow paved path around and to the right of courts
Walk straight through neighborhood (Vermont Ave) to the 2nd crossroads
Locate Utility Pole #10; this marks the trail head
Follow trail between split-rail fence and wooded lot
Proceed down small incline and around pond
Locate bench (good spot for a break)
Continue around pond; look out for the mud-pit, especially after wet weather
When the path reaches a small clearing – climb to the highest point
Look for the old half-tree and follow path at its base
Keep an eye out for the wiggly bridge – carefully cross
Continue 20 passes
Find the 2 trunk tree that used to be 3.
Look deep inside trunk to locate box.
