HAPPY HOG DAYS!
Is it Labor Day weekend? NO, it's Hog Days and believe me you don't want to miss this annual celebration! Hog Days boasts a swine, I mean fine parade, a huge porktacular four day long BBQ with the best chops around, a carnival, an awesome flea market and much, much more... Check out the website at: http://www.kewaneehogdays.com.
In between the Hog Days stampede and the Hog calling contest, you should have just enough time to find this box located at Baker Park. This park is known locally for its 18 hole golf course, 1.5 mile walking path and for the "suicide hill" sledding experience in the winter.
Use the park entrance at the corner of W. Sixth Street & Lexington. You can park here and walk or drive on in. Soon you will come to an island, follow the "one way only" sign. Next you will pass 2 "no parking anytime" signs. Shortly after the 2nd sign, find the 4-trunked tree on the left. Check inside and under the stone for "Happy Hog Days"!
