Thirsty In Dix Hills

Take Carl’s Straight Path South from the Long Island Expressway for about a mile towards Otsego Avenue, turn left on Otsego and drive past Otsego elementary school and enter the parking lot for the baseball fields at Otsego park. From here , go into the park on the path, passing fields on both sides. Head past the refreshment stand and towards the yellow playground. Keep walking straight past the basketball and tennis courts until you reach the south side of the park and another parking lot.
While walking across the parking lot, you will see 2 black wire fences. Walk through the gates and enter the woods on the path. Follow the trail through the woods going straight. You will pass a trail on the left—keep straight. There will be many small paths throughout the trail, but keep on the main path. You will come to a Y, and bear right at the Y. You will cross under a branch that is like an archway, leaving the woods. Now you will see the Dix Hills water tower in front of you, cross the paved road and go towards the tower. At the end of the pavement in the right hand corner of the paved lot is a path. There is a dirt mound on your left. Walk to the fence and then turn left. Go about 30 paces then turn left and you will see two trees twisted together. There is a branch between them, pull down the branch and you will have completed your mission.
Please return the box and the branch the way it was found to keep it safe. Thanks!
