“The Old Rugged Cross” has been placed in
this spot on Easter Day, 2009, in memory of my “Nana”
who loved this wonderful hymn and with all praise and
thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who died
for our sins and rose again so that we can spend eternity
in Heaven with Him.

John 3:16 in the Bible says, “For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Directions:
It is very simple and should only take a few minutes to find. You will have to leave the parking lot, so it may not be accessible to everyone.
It is hidden on the property of the Raymond Baptist Church located on Route 27 (the old Rte.101) in Raymond, NH. The church is located on the stretch of road between Sun Hill Road and Long Hill Road.

Clues:
Park in the lot which provides the most space and locate the white cross which may seem a bit camouflaged or chameleon-like. Follow this “compass cross” in a northeast direction until you spot its larger, golden cousin. In the same fashion, travel due east according to this new “compass cross” until you reach the border made of the same material as the tomb in which Jesus was placed (fortunately for all of us, that tomb and death could not hold Him). If you follow this border in the most obvious direction, it will point you directly to the same type of terrain on which the three crosses stood when Jesus was hung between the two thieves. Your gaze should naturally head in the same direction to which the cross still points 2,000 years later…upward toward Heaven. The “Old Rugged Cross” stands there waiting for you.
