Number 70 is in the Old Cemetery on Westford Road, just west of Rt. 198 in Eastford. There is a pull off at the east end of the cemetery or you can pull off on the north side of the road in front of the cemetery. You’ll have to pull right along the wall to get out of traffic tho’ so let any passenger out first.

Enter through the gate and wander sort of straight in till you find the wives of Joseph Work. From there head toward the wrought iron fence. On the south side, look for the stone of Susan Sumner. There’s a history lesson here.

Now head to the wall with all the footstones. (At least they haven’t been lost but what a shame that they seem to have been pulled up.) Find Aaron Tuffts. Go left to Phebe and then to Mary Bodsworth. Left a little more to the white marble with no writing evident. Above this and under the flat rock is #70.

Be careful of the stone wall. Don’t take it apart looking for the box. The covering stones were found elsewhere.
