In Larned Kansas on 2nd Street is a neat little spot with some interesting history. Check out the info at the site and also read a little online to get some background to help you imagine what the place must have been like 150 years ago.
The Sibley's Camp Letterbox is located in the area which has been quarried. There is a little museum across the street, but I have never seen it open while I was visiting Larned. Looking in the windows is possible, though.
From the doorway which goes down to the cellar, walk at 297 degrees to a tall, but thin crack in the wall. The letterbox envelope (you'll know what we mean when you see it) is about waist high and behind some sticks. Once you have stamped in, please replace it carefully and cover. Thanks. Enjoy our box.
