WARNING
Fearless giant mosquito warriors
guard the secrets of the park
especially in early spring
come prepared with bug cream!

BACKGROUND
This park is one of our favorites in the area! You'll find easy parking. Bring $3-$5 for park entrace fee - if you come by car. Right by pavilion 2 you'll find a playgroud, shaded picnic tables and a giant cluster of trees that are great for climbing! There are some interesting nature trails and you can walk, bike or run all around the park. Dogs are allowed (always on a leash).
The are lots of friendly racoons around! In one of our first visits a young raccoon came happily and sat right next to us on a bench, curiously looking at our bags! You must excercise caution at all times and not feed them but they are certainly friendly.
Right across from the park to the east you'll find the Atlantic Ocean, so you can combine the box search with some fun time at the beach!

RIDDLE
In Hugh Taylor Birch State Park
From the center of pavilion 2
Walk 10 steps toward the other roof
Look left and you will see
The wonder of 3 ancient Live Oak trees
Through their gateway find the path
2 topless Royal Palms will be your guide
Look up don't miss the parrots
Follow the path under the shade
Cross the paved road and quench your thirst
Turn around and retrace 2 steps
To the middle of the stretch
To your right and not very far
A tree holds me in it's many arms
Try to find me!
Where am I?
