Box has been replaced on 6/30/2012.

That nasty ā€œCā€ word can strike fear in the hearts of strong people. But survivors should celebrate. Jill, my mom is celebrating more than 13 years of being a survivor. This box celebrates her breast cancer journey from diagnosis, thru surgery and into being a survivor!

While you can go to box during the day, I highly suggest going in the evening as the plaza is stunning at night with the simple rope lights that illuminate the laser cut designs throughout the plaza.

To find Survivor Jill box locate the Richard & Annette Bloch Cancer Survivor Plaza. Enter the plaza from 22nd Street, passing between the four pillars. Continue walking northwest past the family of 3, beyond the runner, past the little old couple, to the father & daughter. As you stand in front of the father, look straight ahead to a bubbling fountain of hope. Now take a break and go the closest bench to the east. Kneel in front of the bench and reach under the seat at the south end to find the magnetized box.

After stamping in take time to visit the rest of the plaza for inspiration and feeling of serenity and achievement.
