Daddy yelled, "Hey-y-y-y Lock!" and blasted the horn while I moved the mules Belle, Diamond, Elle and Nell into position. The locktender came out of his house and talked to Daddy. It would be while until the boat was ready to move again. It was 2:30 in the morning, we didn't stop working because we had some twenty or more miles to go to Bristol. I walked up the canal, to the ferry street bridge. Here I stopped. Between two poles, hidden deep in the ivy, I left something for you to find.
