Haunted Woods: 8TH WONDER
4th box in the Haunted Woods Series
Compass required.

You will be quite familiar with this famous fellow, who took Fay Wray to such heights. I’m planting the box in this location because it might remind him of his home on Skull Island, although the stamp is of a much more famous event in his life.

This stamp is an overlay of two stamps, which you need to line up. There are no ink pads, and you will have to bring two. The best colors are a light blue or grey and a darker
brown.

Instructions for stamping:
First you have to stamp the big boy with the darker color, being careful to stamp with the arrow on the back of the stamp pointing straight up. The image will be a little bit on an angle. Next use the lighter blue ink. With arrow pointing up on the stamp, line up the very top of the structure on the stamp to touch his hand. A tiny bit toward the left side, but still on his fist, works best. See the demo stamp on the logbook, if you’re not sure what I mean (although I happened to stamp dead center, so you’ll see what I mean about a little to the left, but still on his fist, which makes the two line up better than this). Sorry if this sounds confusing, but it really isn’t, and I’m sure you’ll get a good image even if it doesn’t line up perfectly.

To find this box:
These clues start from Haunted Woods: Werewolf box.
Continue on. You will pass another tree in the middle of the path. As you are walking next to the swamp, look for the abundant wildlife that call this swamp their home. walk past a large stone wall on your left and under some power lines. The trail will eventually gently get further away from the swamp and you will pass through a large split tree across the path. You will start going up a very mild incline, and then back down again, and the trail will turn towards the swamp again. At this point you will come to a rock and a large two trunked tree on the left of the trail. At the rock, but in the middle of the path, take a heading on your compass of 70 degrees and walk in that direction 7 paces to a very large two trunked tree with another tree growing into it on its'right. Cradled in this tree is the letterbox, hidden by a rock and natural debris. Please rehide well with same rocks and debris. Make sure it's covered from all angles.
