Haunted Woods: WEREWOLF
This is the 3rd box in the Haunted Woods series.
For directions to Clough Preserve, see Haunted Woods: Vampire Box.
There is no ink pad in this box. Dark brown works well.
These directions start from Haunted Woods:The Swamp Monster.
These woods are haunted by many creatures. One of them is the werewolf. Sometimes a man, sometimes a monsterous wolf, this creature is not one you want to run into while exploring these woods. To find his lair (and hope that he's in Brewster resident form), continue on the path towards the swamp. Very shortly you'll pass a large rock and a tree that you can walk around, on the left side of the path. Stop here and look out towards the swamp to see one of the beaver lodges. This swamp is home to many animals, and not just menacing ones. Continue on until,on your right, you come to a large rock that looks like a tombstone. Behind it is a half dead old tree full of woodpecker holes. Stand on the stepping stone and turn to your left. Take 7 steps up hill to a large broken boulder, just off the trail. At the bottom of the lower split rock, in a little cave, covered by rocks, is the letterbox.
As always, please hide this box well from all angles, as this is a well used trail. Use a stick to poke around first for snakes. Depending on season, watch for insects, poison ivy and icy trails.
