To start letterboxing, park near and walk to “The Stone House”, which was built around 1843, and constructed of granite from an on-site quarry.

Go to the flagpole in front of the house.

Walk to the playground so when you pass, it is on your right. Find a good place for a picnic in the rain.

From here, face east and walk towards the corner of the chain link fence of two different heights. You will see a spruce tree nearby.

Walk along and around the chain link fence, keeping it on your left.

You will approach stone steps on your right. Walk down them, turn left, and continue down the stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs take a left.

Bear right at the fork in the road.

As you walk on the asphalt path you will see dirt paths branching off to the left. Take the last dirt path before reaching the bridge (walk through the woods—not over the bridge!).

After walking past the “kissing trees” on your right, a path will branch off to the left. Don’t follow it! Stay straight on the path you’re on.

Stop to enjoy the dead hollow tree. Do you think it was hit by lightning? At this point you are close, yet far from the letterbox.

The path will curve around 180 degrees. Just after the curve take ~50 steps.

You will see a large leaning pine tree surrounded by 5 large sections of tree trunk. Choose the “right” trunk and you will find the letterbox under it.
