This science-fiction novel by Ray Bradbury was fist published in 1953, and is a critique of what he saw as an increasingly dysfunctional American society. The title refers to the temperature at which books burn, as this is the job of the main character, Guy Montag, in a future society in which critical thought through reading is outlawed.

Where the 605 freeway ends at the 210 freeway, one exit west is Buena Vista St. A couple blocks north at Royal Oaks Dr, a Recreational Trail begins, and proceeds east all the way to Royal Oaks Park. For an easy walk, there are some free 2-hour parking spaces along Royal Oaks Dr, or for a longer hike or bike ride, park at Royal Oaks Park and head back west.

When you are under the bridge, start at the trash can and count posts going west. After 47 you'll see a large boulder and a seven-trunk tree. The box is buried in leaves between the third and fourth trunk, counting from the left.

When you're finished, make sure the logbook is in one bag, and that bag and the stamp are both in a second bag. Be sure to bury the box in leaves and cover any tracks you made.
