Ulster Landing Barge LbNA #45646

Just before Ulster Landing Park, which is on Ulster Landing Road, off of Route 32 coming from Saugerties is a Parking area called North Parking Area. There is a large sign with maps of the John Burroughs trails that will take you to Turkey Point. Follow the main trail through the woods over a small bridge. Continue on the well marked trail to the edge of a field with copper topped fence posts. Continue down the hill toward the Hudson River. You will pass by a stone foundation. Continue walking South with the river parrellel and on your left below you. continue on until you come to another bridge over a waterfall. The letterbox will be just before the bridge. There is a curved low stone wall connecting a large tree to the bridge. The box is under the third or fourth stone from tree. Be careful the box is really a glass jar and I hope it doesnt break. Please rehide well. There are a few other boxes and a series of boxes nearby. 7/16/22 update this park is now called soujournor truth park not to be confused with soujournor truth state park. The waterfall is sometimes a trickle and the box is near a stream that leads to the Hudson river. There are several ways to get there.
