Crotchity Critter on same trail

Planted by Grumpy Grinch and adopted in January 2011 by Desert Flower.

NOTICE: new clues posted on December 31, 2014.

This box was placed at the last minute for the 5th annual Tucson Letterbox Gathering. There were 12 boxes in place in the area of the original location. Snow closed the road the morning of the gathering so we all met at a lower elevation in Tucson's McDonald Park, 4100 North Harrison Road.
One cannot have a gathering without letterboxes to seek! Fortunately we had two boxes with us which we gladly placed for the participants. We leave them in place for your enjoyment.
McDonald Park, 4100 North Harrison Road. North of Tanque Verde Rd, W of Catalina Highway.

Enter park at blue-gray wooden sign on field stone base. Drive past ball fields, turn right at colorful playground to South parking lot.

Walk to yellow metal gate and follow asphalt trail to right to picnic ramada #1, continue a short distance to where the baseball field fence meets the asphalt path, cross the gully to your left. Turn left at the top of the gully, follow it east then northeast. Pass three teenage saguaros on the left and an old timer, turned into a skeleton, on the right. Pass a green rectangle on the ground on your left. At the second green rectangle (back off the trail on the left side), angle left. At the third green rectangle stop. Now go at about 20 degrees (from mag. north) for about 25 steps to a medium size Creosote Bush. The box is under the northwest side of the bush under a flat rock covered with some twigs.

Please double bag the contents when you return them to the box. Please rehide the box well under the rock and covered with some twigs so that it can not be seen from any direction.

Adopted from Grumpy Grinch in 11/09.
Thanks for their carving and placement.
