Devil's Den is a cave you can explore while looking for this letterbox in Devil's Den State Park, nestled deep in a picturesque Ozark valley. A mountain stream forms a peaceful 8-acre lake before cascading over a native stone dam, and hiking trails access backcountry areas of the park and the surrounding Ozark National Forest. The park has sixteen fully-equipped cabins with kitchens and fireplaces along with a campground.

Directions:
To reach Devil's Den State Park, travel eight miles south of Fayetteville on I540 to Exit #53 (West Fork), then go 17 miles southwest on Ark. 170. Or I540 to Exit #45 (Winslow) and go 7 miles west on Ark. 74. Park at the trailhead for Devil's Den Cave Trail near the visitor center.

Clues:
Bring a flashlight if you plan on exploring the cave. The trail is a loop so go right at the first jct. After about .25 mile you will come to the cave. After exploring it, backtrack southwest down the trail 45 steps to a faint trail going up the left slope. Climb south on this trail up the hill to a large rock outcrop on the right. Go to the up-slope side (southeast) of the rock and find a tree nearby. From tree, walk downhill 4 steps to south end of rock and find the box at its base under loose rocks. Please re-cover well.
