Difficulty: Easy
Distance to Letterbox: 1 mile round trip
Status of Letterbox: Log book removed due to damage, but stamp still there. Will try to add new log in future.
The "Tube Time" letterbox is located in Eisenhower park, in North San Antonio, Texas. This park has great hiking trails and modern facilities for picnics and playgrounds. No tubing though.
Directions:
From Hwy 1604, go north on NW Military road for 2 miles. Just before Fort, turn left inot park, and park near the restrooms, camping and trail sign (on left).
To the Letterbox:
Go to Sign, and take paved hiking trail to all trails. Continue straight until 2nd turn, and go right on "Cedar Flats Trail". Go past other trail juctions until you reach the "Yucca" trail. Go right on this trail for 60 steps. You should be at a wooden log bench(This is now gone), looking out at the bat houses. Go behind the bench (again, this is gone, but you should be able to find) into the trees for 7 steps to the back side of cedar tree. Box is at back base, under rock.
