Sweetwater County is the home of aproximately 2,500 of the estimated 6,000 wild horses that roam free in Wyoming. Well here is one that you can catch and take home with you :o)

This is a quick find just off of I-80. To find the Rock Springs Wild Horse Letterbox take exit 102 and turn LEFT on Dewar Drive and follow this road to the end... about 1 mile or so. The road will turn sharply to the Right where it turns into SUMMIT DRIVE. You will see ahead of you a chain link fence with a big yellow arrow pointing Right. Behind it is a wide open space with a mountain view. Park by the bridge by where Dewar turns into Summit dr. Cross the bridge and go right. A short distance later is a sign on the fence saying no motorized vehicles. By this sign find the two biggest rocks. The letterbox is hidden in the crevice of these two large rocks underneath smaller rocks. Please rehide well since this is a popular recreation area. Also, this box contains no inkpad so be sure to bring your own and this box may be shared with Geocachers so trinkets and such may be found inside of it, only remove items if you are replacing it with another since that is the Geocache way. Happy Trails Letteboxers!
